1. Choose 2 careers related to Computer Science. In 50 words or less, describe

why these might be the best possible career for you!

Answer: Two careers  that might be a possible career for me is a Web Developer, and a Software Developer. Web Developer because I like creating websites, a good example of this is my blogger. Software Developer because it interests me on how by just inputting information you can do actions and other duties which a normal human could do.

2. Choose 2 college or university programs, one in Toronto and one outside of

Ontario related to the careers above. In 50 words or less, describe its merits.

Answer: Honours Bachelor of Technology-Software Developer program at Seneca Toronto, Canada. It’s merits are:

• Paid co-op opportunities with key players in the IT industry.
• Practical experience with leading edge industry technology in state-of-the-art computer labs.
• Innovative learning modes: interactive lectures, collaborative teamwork, panel discussions, e-learning, research projects and more.
• Opportunities to pursue graduate studies.
• Portable skills for global careers.

Computer Systems Technology-Software Development and Network Engineering at Sheridan London, Canada. It’s merits are: Software development in Java, Java EE, C, C# and .NET.

• Web technologies and web application development.
• Database technologies and database administration.
• Direct, hands-on instruction.
• A capstone project in your final year where you'll follow industry best practices to design and develop a real-world software solution from start to finish.

Web Development at Humber College Toronto, Canada. It’s merits are:

• Explain the types of business transactions conducted on a commercial website and the process for development of such transactions.
• Prepare and present a proposal and a business plan for a commercial website.
• Implement a website solution based on a set of business requirements or client specifications.
• Create a complete content management system using a database and scripting language.
• Develop data-driven websites for multiple platforms in accordance with best practices, industry standards in content management, security, database design, interface design, usability, accessibility and personalization.

Internet Applications and Web Development at Fanshawe London,Canada; its merits are:

• relate effectively to web development supervisors, coworkers, and clients.
• configure and maintain internet services, internet application servers, database servers, and network services.
• construct, modify, implement, query, and maintain effective databases, and interface with applications.

Answer: Some Essential Skills are Critical Thinking, Data Analysis, Computer use, Oral Communication, Decision making etc.
